I’ishah Keliikoa (Jammers VBC/’Iolani, ’09)  had 14 kills, hit .650, and had 2 blocks to help her Towson Tigers  defeat Delaware 3-1 (22-3, 9-0 CAA) in Colonial Athletic Association  play. As a Jammers 17s, I’ishah helped her team to a 2nd place finish at  the 2009 Junior Olympics in Dallas, Texas. The Towson Tigers also  feature Haley Pa’akaula (Jammers VBC/Kamehameha, ’12).

Harlee Meyers   (Jammers VBC/St. Francis, ’12)  had 8 kills, hit .348, and had 16 digs to help her Long Island  University Post Pioneers (19-11, 8-3 ECC) defeat Mercy 3-1 in East Coast  Conference. She followed that with a 10 dig performance in a 1-3 loss  against Roberts Wesleyan.

Brittany Kalepa  
Brittany Kalepa (Jammers VBC/Kamehameha, ’12) had 15 digs to help the Cornell Big Red (6-15, 3-7) in a 1-3 loss against Yale in Ivy League play.

Kelly Chang  (Jammers VBC/HBA, ’09) and Elissa Ji (Jammers VBC/Maryknoll, ’09) of the Nevada Wolfpack   4-19 (1-9 MW) both had 13 digs in a 0-3 loss to Colorado State in Mountain West Conference play.

Alumni News 2010

University of North Carolina Charlotte, Atlantic 10 conference, Kat Hicks [07 Jammers/Kalaheo] Sr OH, pictured with team mate Kara Rater and Coach Chris Redding, on senior night. Kat took over 14th place on the 49er career kills list with 1037.

Nov 20 2010. Washington University St Louis, [07 Jammers.Iolani Marya Kaminski, Sr MH/RS and team captain] loses to Emory College 3-1 in the 2010 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball National Championship semi-final match held at Washington University St Louis. The Bears finishes season at 36-4.

Nov 20 2010. West Plains, MO. 2010 National Junior College Athletic Association Championship. San Jacinto College [Candace Soares, (09 Jammers/Mililani), sophomore OH] loses to Western Nebraska Community College 3-2 (28-26, 25-19, 22-25, 15-25, 10-15) in the NJCAA national championship match. Candace named to championship All-Tournament team. San Jacinto finishes season at 29-10.

Nov 19 2010. Adelphi University Panthers [Heather Mau, 07 Jammers/Maryknoll, Sr Setter and DS] ousted by Dowling College 3-0 in the 2010 NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball National Championship, East Regional semi-final match. Adelphi closes season at 20-12. Heather Mau selected to the 2010 Northeast-10 All-Conference team. Heather is second in the Panther all-time career lists with 3196 assists and 1293 digs and 209 service aces.

Nov 13 2010.Amherst, Massachusetts. Amherst College [09 Jammers/Punahou, Kristen Keeno sophomore DS] ousted in the New England Regional 2nd round by Springfield. The Lord Jeffs finishes a very successful season at 25-4.

Nov 9, 2010. 2010 NCAA Division III Women’s Vollleyball National Championship. Washington University St Louis (31-3) [07 Jammers.Iolani Marya Kaminski senior MH/RS and team captain] received at-large berth and will compete in the Midwest Regional Nov 12-14, as the #1 seed. Amherst College, Massachusetts (24-3) [ 09 Jammers/Punahou, Kristin Keeno, sophomore DS] also received at-large berth and will compete in the New England Regional Nov 12-14 as the #1 seed.

Nov 29 2010. Jammers Alumni 2010 Collegiate Volleyball Post Season Accolades. New England Small College Athletic Conference. Amherst College, Kristin Keeno selected to the NESCAC conference All-Academic team. Kristin, 09 Jammers/Punahou, competed as DS for the Lord Jeffs who finished season at 25-4. Western Athletic Conference. All-WAC 2nd team, University of Nevada Kylie  Harrington, Sr OH. Kylie, 07 Jammers/St Francis, amassed 1236 kills and 789 digs in her four seasons with the Wolfpack. Pacific West Conference. All-PacWest conference volleyball team. Honorable Mention , Hawaii Pacific University, Pihana Kea, sophomore Setter. Pihana, 09 Jammers/Punahou, 2nd in season conference play in both total assists with 857 and 9.97 assists per game.

Kylie Harrington (Jammers 03-07)


Reno, NV. Oct 2010. Kylie Harrington (Jammers 03-07), University of Nevada Wolfpack, senior outside hitter and 2009 1st team All-WAC selectee, on Sep 27 became only the 10th Wolfpack to reach 1000 career kills. Kylie is currently ranked in the Wolfpack career top stats in two categories: 6th in total points with 1293 and 10th in kills with 1159.


Reno, NV. Oct 19 2010. Nevada Wolfpack Volleyball Inside Sports features sophomore outside hitter Elissa Ji (09Jammers).

 Honolulu, HI. Oct 15 2010. WAC Volleyball. San Jose State Spartans falls to 4th ranked Rainbow Wahine, straight sets, 16-25, 12-25, 15-25. Spartan setter Caitlin Andrade ( 09 Jammers) 20 assists and 2 digs in losing cause. “They run the middle enough to keep you honest and the setter (Caitlin Andrade No.13) does a nice job” said UH coach Dave Shoji.
Reno, NV. 15 Oct 2010. WAC Volleyball. Harrington’s double double leads Wolfpack to 3-1 victory over Utah State. Senior outside hitter Kylie Harrington (07 Jammers) with 20 kills and 12 digs notches her 5th double double for the season. Also team mate sophomore Elissa Jii (09 Jammers) puts down 9 kills in the win over Utah State.
 Long Beach, CA. Oct 9 2010. Long Beach State 49ers beat Pacific 25-19, 23-25, 25-14, 23-25, 15-11 to improve to 13-5 overall and 3-2 in the Big West conference. Libero Lauren Minkel recorded a team high 32 digs in the five set victory
Reno, NV. Sep 30 2010. University of Nevada senior outside hitter Kylie Harrington led the Wolf Pack to a WAC conference sweep of San Jose State 25-15, 25-22, 25-17 at the Virginia Street gym Thursday 28 Sep. Harrington led the Pack with a match high 15 kills. Nevada improved to 7-8 for the season and 1-1 in conference play. [divider]

Rayleigh, NC. Sep 28 2010. Boston College Eagles junior, Brennan Clark, led the Eagles with 9 digs against NC State. Brennan is in 5th place on the Eagles all time career digs list with 1,013.

Claremont, CA, Sep 28 2010. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas sophomore Shalynn Ho had a team high 17 digs in a three set victory against Whittier College.

Garden City, NY. Sep 28 2010. Adelphi University Panther senior, Heather Mau, named Libero of the Week by Northeast-10 Conference. Heather had a team high 78 digs in a four game series last week.

Honolulu, HI. Sep 24 2010. 09 Jammers, Courtney Lelepali (Rainbow Wahine redshirt) and Elissa Ji and Kelly Chang (Nevada Wolf Pack) met with Jammers coaches Debby Yee and Davin Iwase after WAC conference match between University of Hawaii and University of Nevada Reno.
